Our bio-based remediation techniques are continuously driven by our R&D department

R&D and Feasability tests

‍GreenSoil is an international player in bio-based remediation techniques which are continuously being improved by a strong focus on R&D and innovation. Through ongoing exploration of sustainable biological remediation approaches for emerging contaminants, we have expanded our service portfolio to encompass a wide range of soil and groundwater contaminants, beyond the more commonly encountered ones such as MTBE, chloroform, polyol, chlorobenzenes, and 1,4 dioxane.

The design of full-scale remediation projects can greatly benefit from laboratory and field tests. At GreenSoil, we strongly advocate for well-designed tests that can provide valuable insights into the feasibility of remediation. Laboratory and field tests serve as important tools for gaining a better understanding of (bio)remediation possibilities and processes. Examples of tests that we perform on our premises or in the field include:

  • Degradation tests to determine the biodegradability of contaminants.
  • Precipitation tests to assess the remediation potential of certain compounds (e.g., arsenic) through precipitation.
  • qPCR analyses to monitor biodegradation progress during remediation projects (Udetect).

Cooperations

GreenSoil also provides assistance with the implementation of more intricate laboratory tests to be conducted at reliable laboratory facilities. In such cases, our staff prepares the design and procedure methods and closely monitors their progress to ensure effective process control. To gain more insight into complex processes and remain front runners in the field of bioremediation, GreenSoil R&D is frequently looking for cooperation with different universities, knowledge institutes and other innovative companies.
